Virginia Association of Local Elected Constitutional Officers
VALECO is a nonprofit membership organization that represents the common interests of Virginia's five local elected constitutional officers -- Clerks of the Circuit Courts, Commissioners of the Revenue, Commonwealth's Attorneys, Sheriffs and Treasurers.
VALECO permits Virginia's more than 625 local constitutional officers to speak with one voice on issues of common concern. Among the issues VALECO has addressed through the years are the authority and responsibility of these unique offices, election and campaign finance law, employment law, risk management, and compensation and benefits issues unique to these offices.
